The Sapphire Princess altered course on April 21 after crew members noticed an orange inflatable life jacket within the water whereas crusing en path to Cartagena, Spain, based on a press release from Princess Cruises.
The vessel deployed its Quick Rescue Boat to analyze and in the end recovered 5 deceased people, the corporate stated. The ship’s crew coordinated the response with the Maritime Rescue Coordination Middle.
