The Federal Aviation Administration is ordering airways to certify their merit-based hiring practices as a part of the Trump administration’s ongoing marketing campaign in opposition to DEI applications.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy introduced the brand new coverage on Friday, saying airways that do not formally decide to merit-based hiring will likely be topic to FAA investigation. Trump’s FAA mocked the course the company had taken beneath former President Joe Biden, calling the insurance policies “absurd” and saying they “wasted time renaming cockpits to flight decks.”
