Anthropic ships main Claude Code desktop replace with stay app previews, automated code assessment, and GitHub PR monitoring with auto-fix capabilities.
Anthropic launched a major replace to Claude Code on February 20, including stay utility previews, automated code assessment, and GitHub pull request monitoring with auto-fix capabilities to its desktop utility.
The replace arrives as Anthropic pushes deeper into AI-assisted improvement. Simply two days earlier, a Claude Code creator predicted the software program engineering title would “begin to go away” in 2026, claiming the software now writes almost 100% of inner code at Anthropic.
What’s New
The desktop app can now launch dev servers and show operating functions straight within the interface. Claude displays the webapp UI, reads console logs, catches errors, and iterates with out requiring builders to change between browser and IDE. Customers can choose visible parts within the preview and cross suggestions to Claude for fast iteration.
A brand new “Overview code” button lets Claude look at native diffs earlier than pushing. The AI leaves inline feedback highlighting bugs, ideas, and potential points straight within the desktop diff view. Builders can then ask Claude to deal with these feedback routinely.
GitHub Integration Will get Critical
For GitHub-hosted initiatives, Claude Code now tracks pull request standing together with CI verify passes and failures. The auto-fix characteristic makes an attempt to resolve CI failures routinely when enabled. Activate auto-merge, and Claude will merge PRs as soon as all checks cross.
