A brand new design from luxurious style home Chanel is elevating eyebrows, with some critics questioning if excessive style has gone a step too far.
Chanel unveiled its Cruise 2027 assortment Tuesday in Biarritz, France, that includes a sandal design that leaves a lot of the foot uncovered, masking solely the heel with straps wrapped across the ankle.
The present drew A-list attendees together with Nicole Kidman, Tilda Swinton, A$AP Rocky and Sofia Coppola.
In its evaluation, Elle described the toe-baring footwear as “deliberately incomplete.”

“The cap-toe went out the window because the design relied solely on what the model known as a ‘barefoot heel cap,'” the outlet wrote.

Others questioned the practicality of the design, with one consumer writing: “Can somebody please put on these on the NYC streets after which down into the subway and on the practice? Please movie toes while you get dwelling, please.”
The sandals haven’t been listed as an official retail merchandise, and pricing has not been introduced.
