President Donald Trump has quickly waived a century-old transport regulation to permit oil and different assets to move to the USA, a White Home official instructed FOX Enterprise on Wednesday.
Trump issued a 60-day waiver of the Jones Act, a measure that requires that solely U.S. ships carry cargo between U.S. ports and stipulates that no less than 75% of the crew members are Americans. Moreover, it calls for these ships are constructed within the U.S. and owned by U.S. residents.
