The U.S. Justice Division is investigating Minnesota officers together with Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey over an alleged conspiracy to impede immigration brokers, CBS Information reported on Friday, citing a number of sources accustomed to the matter.
The probe by the Justice Division stems from earlier statements made by Walz and Frey in regards to the hundreds of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and Border Patrol brokers deployed to the Minneapolis area in current weeks, CBS Information mentioned.
The Trump administration has despatched practically 3,000 federal brokers to Minnesota.
The Justice Division didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
