Amazon mentioned on Sunday it has determined to not pursue plans to ship items by drone in Italy, saying that whereas it had made good progress with aerospace regulators, broader enterprise regulatory points didn’t assist the mission.
The Italian civil aviation ENAC known as the choice surprising, saying in an announcement on Saturday the transfer was motivated by firm coverage, linked to “latest monetary occasions involving the Group.”

In an announcement to Reuters on Sunday, Amazon mentioned:
“Following a strategic overview, we’ve determined to cease our business drone supply plans in Italy”.
“Regardless of optimistic engagement and progress with Italian aerospace regulators, the broader enterprise regulatory framework within the nation doesn’t, at the moment, assist our longer-term targets for this program,” Amazon added.
